This is a wheel-thrown vase. It is about three inches tall and it is taller than it is wide. It is black on the inside with tomato red on the lip that drips down on the outside. In order to make this project, I had to learn how to pull out a lip. The main art element employed in this project is contrast. The contrast however, makes it difficult for the project to have unity. This project taught me to make sure the glazes tie together.
