This is a wheel-thrown bowl. It is on the smallish side and is wide and flat. It is white on the outside with cobalt blue dripping down and cobalt blue on the inside. In order to make this project, I experimented with the glazes to try and get a tie-die effect. The main art element in this piece is color because the form is so simple that it allows the color to take center stage. The main design element is contrast because of the white against the blue. This was one of my more successful bowls.
